Thank you Jordan!

Posted by Della Shenton on Saturday, November 26, 2011
We have just returned from our first pilgrimage including the Holy Land of Jordan and we cannot recommend the addition highly enough.  It takes us from Moses to Jesus through to the life of the earliest Christian communities of the Decapolis. Please contact us for further information on pilgrimages in 2012.

Saddest news

Posted by Della Shenton on Wednesday, September 14, 2011
We are so very sad to hear of the death from cancer of Samira Hassassian, wife of the Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, Manuel Hassassian.  Samira was a great friend and supporter of 5th Gospel Retreats - her last public appearance with us was at the Hope for the Holy Land Conference in Pimlico just over a year ago.  We offer our prayers and sympathy to Manuel and the children at their tragic loss and pray for God's blessing on Samira and that she is now at peace.

Roni and Carol Tabash' little baby Victor is now nearly 4 month's old!  We've been with Aid to the Church in Need in Bethlehem and on two more great pilgrimages and a research trip to Jordan.  Lots to look out for in the next week or two.  Back soon ....

Wines arrive at Felixtowe

Posted by Della Shenton on Monday, March 14, 2011
The new pallets of white and red altar wine have now arrived and are ready for distribution.  GOOD NEWS on the stock - London City Bond have been able to rescue most of the David's Tower and Shepherds' Fields following the roof collapse.  Now we have in stock Star of Bethlehem, David's Tower, Shepherds' Fields and Hamdany Jandaly.  Plus the two altar wines.  We have absorbed the increase in VAT and the prices thus remain unchanged.

Just back from the Holy Land

Posted by Della Shenton on Wednesday, March 09, 2011
We have all just returned from the Diocesan Pilgrimage with Bishop Christopher Budd.  It was yet another terrific pilgrimage, greatly enhanced with our own wonderful liturgies and worshipping with the Christian parish communities in Bethlehem and Nazareth.  Photos and comments will soon be published on the website - we are just getting the pages organised...

Update on Wines

Posted by Della Shenton on Thursday, January 27, 2011
Following the disaster before Christmas when London City Bond's warehouse roof collapsed, we now know for certain that we have lost all our red wines.  Fortunately the white Messa altar wine is safe and a pallet of the new white local wine Hamdany Jandali.  A new shipment of white Messa, red Messa and Hamdani Jandali is leaving Haifa port at the end of January.  We do not expect to be able to get any red table wines until June.  We shall do all we can to keep th esupplies moving - and introduce the Hamdani Jandali rather sooner than planned!  It is a very good wine - watch this space....
